Jib Lal Khanal is a Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB Canada) with over 14 years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting, specializing in financial management, payroll, GST/PST remittances, and compliance with Canada Revenue Agency regulations and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Originally from Nepal, Jib Lal Khanal immigrated to Canada in 2010 with this family. Prior to moving to Canada, he worked with several organizations, including the Nepal Agriculture Research Council, where he specialized in plant physiology, plant nutrition, and plant tissue culture.
After moving to Canada, Jib earned an Accounting Diploma with Honours, obtained the Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB Canada) designation, and built a successful career in bookkeeping and accounting while volunteering with the Department of Plant Sciences at the University of Saskatchewan under Professor Bob Bors.
Jib is a dedicated community leader with a long history of volunteer service and organizational leadership in Saskatoon. Since March 2024, he has served as a Director of the Folkfest Saskatoon Board and has previously held the positions of President, Treasurer, Executive Member, and Advisory Board Member of the Nepalese Community of Saskatoon. He played a key role in establishing the Nepalese Heritage Language School, where he continues to volunteer as a teacher, and served as Treasurer of the Parent Committee for the 702 Lynx Squadron Royal Canadian Air Cadets. In addition, he has organized and supported numerous fundraising initiatives for Nepal earthquake relief, medical assistance for newcomers, and Cystic Fibrosis Canada. Through his financial expertise, collaborative leadership, and enduring commitment to community service, Jib continues to make a meaningful and lasting impact on the organizations and communities he serves.
